A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (1984)

A Nightmare on Elm Street

"5 out of 5" - Vanilla Cobra

All is not well for the children on Elm Street, as a group of friends all share the same menacing nightmare. All of which have one thing in common: a burned man with razors for fingers.

Upon its release the film gained a massive cult following and introduced the world to the dream stalking maniac played perfectly by genre favorite Robert Englund. Although panned by critics, the overwhelming majority of horror junkies point to the original concept of Freddy as one of the best horror films ever made. Forget the the wisecracks, forget Freddy VJing for MTV. Wes Cravens original vision for Freddy still haunts the dreams of new horror generations and more than likely always will.

Best Kill: It is a toss up between the infamous Johnny Depp being sucked into his waterbed and Tina's wall to wall dragging, wiping the room completely in blood.

Best Line: "Whatever you do, don't fall asleep"
